It last took place in 2017 with the winner Ainslie M. Reid MBE of East Park Road being the last name being proudly engraved on the cup.
However the Kintore and District Community Council are super excited to share that we are to run the ‘ Kintore’s Best Kept Garden’ competition this year as part of our wider ‘It’s Your Neighbourhood’ Project.
You can nominate or self nominate and have a chance to win regardless of the size of the garden as we will have five categories.
- Best Small Garden
- Beat Large Garden
- Best Low Maintenance Garden
- Best Hanging Basket/ Planter
- Best Container
Judging will take place late July / early August (weather dependent) by past winner and Kintore Floral Display Group Founder, Ainslie M. Reid MBE ably assisted by the highly experienced Ian Mitchell with the Winners being announced on 31st of August 2024.
The Winners of each category will be presented with a framed 1st Place Certificate.
However like any great competition there will be only one overall winner who will get their names engraved on the lovely silver cup and in the history books forever more!
The presentation of the overall Winner of Kintore's Best Kept Garden will take place on Saturday the 31st of August as part of the Kintore Street Party celebrations.
