Green Butterfly Award for Kintore floral group leader

Ainslie Reid MBE, Kintore floral group leader, has been honoured with a Green Butterfly award from Aberdeenshire Environmental Forum.

Other award winners were:
  • Ellon academy pupils for their memorial community garden
  • Insch primary pupils for their buh hotels and wormeries
  • Formartine partnership for creating a link pathway between Haddo country park and Methlick

Individual awards went to two of the founders of the AEF Nora Radcliffe and Sheila Ritchie, AEF secretary Brian Martin, treasurer Ron Reid, committee member Fred Tadhunter former convenor Bob Davis, Colin Stirling, Jackie Cumberbirch, Ann Millar and George Niblock.

These were the final Green Butterfly awards as AEF has now been wound up after nearly 30 years.
