Last night’s Kintore and District Community Council meeting heard of concerns about the bus service from Kintore to Inverurie being cut back to every hour, rather than every half hour.
The general feeling of the meeting was that Kintore, now the tenth largest town in Aberdeenshire, needed to retain a regular bus service to connect it with Inverurie.
The meeting heard, from community council members who had attended the bus forum, that Stagecoach had made this change to improve the service from Aberdeen to Inverurie. Stagecoach has asked for feedback on the proposals from the public by this Friday (September 21). For details of the consolation go to the consultation page or you can email your comments to firstname.lastname@example.org - also by this Friday (September 21).
Concerns were also raised at last night’s meeting about the stopping of buses on the curved section of Northern Road between the 30 mph limit and the Kintore north flyover.
The position fo the parked bus makes overtaking extremely dangerous as overtaking cars cannot see oncoming traffic because of the bend.
