Oct 3: Kintore Angling meeting

Aberdeenshire Council is seeking confirmation that Kintore Angling Club is interested in taking on the council’s beat for salmon, sea trout and brown trout, from 2018.

An extraordinary meeting of the Kintore Angling Club at 11 am on Sunday, October 22, will hear that the River Don is likely to be downgraded to Category 3 river. That would mean would become manadatory catch-and-release for Atlantic Salmon throughout 2018 season.

“We are keen to hear comments from members and prospective members and expression of willingness to take on this commitment at a cost around £130 for a season ticket,” explains Brian Johnstone of the angling club.

The meeting will give members and prospective member the chance hear more about the club’s plans and to ask questions or make comment.
